Creditcare Perth provides Emergency Relief and Financial Counselling Services.
EMEREGENCY RELIEF
The service targets individuals and families who are suffering financial difficulties and is open to low income earners and people in receipt of Centrelink Benefits. Assists people who live throughout the Metro area with food cards, utilities and rental arrears.
ER assistance is by appointment only and there is a one day waiting period. Clients can self refer by contacting Creditcare on 9220 1288.
FINANCIAL COUNSELLING SERVICES:
Creditcare’s financial counselling services are funded by Commonwealth and State Governments. The services are available to clients from all Metro areas.
- Equips the vulnerable and disadvantaged in financial crisis.
- Provides short term crisis management and long term prevention strategies.
- Includes counselling, educating, analysing, options, negotiating, advocating, mediating, personal financial management (budgeting) and referring.
Financial counselling can assist clients who:
- Have debt problems and want options to deal with these.
- Cannot meet their financial commitments.
- Are spending more than they earn.
- Need help to sort out family finances.
- Need advice on money management and budgeting.
- Are considering Bankruptcy.
Appointments:
Financial Counselling is strictly by appointment only. Financial Counsellors are booked up two weeks in advance.
IS THERE A COST?
No. It is a free and confidential service.
HOW TO ACCESS THE SERVICE:
Clients can either self refer or be referred by a UCW staff member or another government or non government agency by ringing the Inner City Service Centre on 9220 1288.
